Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2023: An ex-serviceman who allegedly sexually harassed a police woman who was on way to her duty, was caught hold of by locals and handed over to police at Kumpala Bagambila.

The accused has been identified as Prashanth (45) of Kolya Kaneeruthota. It is learnt he had waylaid the lady cop who was riding her two-wheeler and then misbehaved with her. When the woman raised a cry, locals rushed to her help and trapped Prashanth.

The accused has several cases against him for harassing locals in drunken stupor.
