Kasargod : 2 cops injured as tear gas shell explodes

Kasargod, Dec 04, 2020: Two policemen sustained injuries when a tear gas shell all of a sudden exploded while cleaning was being done after a training session at the Kasargod Reserve Police Grounds on December 4, Friday.
The injured cops namely Pavitran (45) and Sudhakaran (45) have been hospitalised. Sudhakaran has suffered injuries on his head and is undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, while the other injured cop is admitted to Kasargod General Hospital. The training was held in the wake of the upcoming local body elections.
It is said the particular tear gas shell had not exploded during the training. The incident is being probed.
