Mangaluru, December 9, 2024: Hydrochloric acid has leaked from a tanker due to a technical snag near Kotekar Uchila on the National Highway on Monday. Police have rushed to the spot. Even a team from MRPL and fire service personnel are at the spot.

The acid leaked from a tanker which was on way to Kochi from Karwar. The driver of the tanker on noticing the leakage, immediately stopped the tanker alongside the Highway and alerted the police.

Traffic on the highway has not been affected and vehicular movement is as usual. The authorities have so far not issued any special instructions to motorists.
