HD Kumaraswamy visits houses of slain Masood, Praveen Nettaru; hands over Rs 5 lakh cheque

Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2022: JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on August 1, Monday visited the residences of Muslim youth Masood and BJP Yuva Morcha Member Praveen Nettaru who were killed by assailants in two separate incidents in Sullia recently. He also handed over cheques for Rs 5 lakh to both the bereaved families.

 

 

 

At Praveen Nettaru’s house, Kumaraswamy met  Praveen’s wife, parents and other family members and consoled them. He also assured all help and also asked the family to contact him in case of any problem.

Later, he urged the government to  conduct a thorough probe into the case and initiate stern action against whoever is behind the murder.

He also visited the residence of Masood  who was killed a week prior to Praveen’s murder.

He consoled the family members including Masood’s brothers and uncle.

Kumaraswamy was accompanied by State JD(S) President CM Ibrahim, MLCs B M Farooq, Bhojegowda, JD(S) District President Jake  Madhava Gowda, Puttur taluk unit Chief Ashraf Kallega and other party leaders.
