Fencing on either side of Netravathi bridge inaugurated

Mangaluru, Mar 04, 2021:      The fencing  erected on either side of the Netravathi bridge at Ullal as well as the CCTV cameras installed in the area were inaugurated by MUDA Chairman Ravishanker Mijaron March 3, Wednesday. The project was taken up by MUDA.

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, the MUDA Commissioner said the project of fencing and installing CC cameras on the bridge was taken up by MUDA despite such a project not coming under the purview of the Authority, as per the request made by the   legislator  in the wake of the increasing suicides in the area.

He said  the fencing on the either side of the bridge measuring in total 2,800 meters was  put up at a cost of Rs 60 lakhs.

Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, MUDA Commissioner Dinesh Kumar, Corporators Veena Mangala, Bhasker Chandra Shetty, Revathi Shyamsunder and others were present.
