Entry of public to beaches restricted after 7 pm today

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2021: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has informed that entry of public to beaches in Mangaluru including Panambur, Tanneerbavi and Suratkal have been banned from 7 pm on December 31, Friday. He said New Year celebrations in beaches have also been banned as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Udupi Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao has also stated that celebration of New Year in beaches and in public places is not allowed.
