Mangaluru, Jun 04, 2023: The Abhinandana Samiti organized a public event on Sunday, June 4, at Sharada Vidyalaya in Kodiyalbail to honor Dr. Mahabaleshwara M.S, the retired Managing Director and CEO of Karnataka Bank.

The program commenced with the symbolic inauguration by Sharavu Raghavendra Shastri, who lit the lamp. In his address, Sharavu Raghavendra Shastri, the administrator of Shri Kshetra Sharavu, praised Mahabaleshwara M. S. for his dedicated service to society and his contributions to noble causes through generous donations. He extended his best wishes to Mahabaleshwara for a peaceful and prosperous retirement.

During the event, Mahabaleshwara and his wife, Annapoorna M., were honored by Dr. C. A. Ragavendra Rao, the chancellor of Srinivas University. Dr. C. A. Raghavendra Rao commended Mahabaleshwara’s achievements and performance in the banking sector, emphasizing his exceptional leadership qualities that elevated him to great heights.

Distinguished speakers, including Dr. K. C. Nayak, President of Shakti Group of Education, delivered their remarks at the ceremony. Mahabaleshwara K. S., after receiving the felicitation, expressed his gratitude for the presence and blessings of the esteemed guests. He acknowledged the customers and senior leaders who guided him, attributing any success to their support. He emphasized the bank’s commitment to upholding its tradition without blemish and thanked the committee for the honor bestowed upon him and his wife.

Reflecting on his 39 years of service to Karnataka Bank, with six years spent as the MD and CEO, Mahabaleshwara regarded banking as his passion, dedicating significant time and effort to his work. He highlighted the bank’s remarkable transformation during the second decade, achieved through the collective efforts of the staff, cooperation from the board of directors, and the blessings of God and customers. Mahabaleshwara emphasized that Karnataka Bank is not solely a commercial institution but also a socio-cultural and economic movement, bound by the responsibility to recognize and support commendable work in the community, as enshrined in the bank’s tradition and the Constitution.

Dr. M. B. Puranik, President of Sharada Group of Institution, delivered the felicitation speech. The event was attended by notable individuals such as Dr. Harikrishna Punaroor, former state president of Karnataka Sahitya Parishat, B. R. Somayaji, founder of Somayaji Builders, P. Ramanath Hegde, hereditary administrator of Mangaladevi Temple, Leelaksha Karkera, president of Namma Kudla Balaga, CA S. S. Nayak, M. Ravindra Shet, founder of SL Shet Diamond House, Ramananda Pangala, president of Mannaguda Gurji Seva Samati Trust, and others.

The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, and Sudhakar Rao Pejawar expertly compered the program.
