Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2022: Fishing season in the coastal districts has commenced with the two month ban on deep sea fishing ending. On August 1, Monday, deep sea fishing boats ventured into fishing with much hopes and expectations.
As every year, considering the breeding season of fish, deep sea fishing was banned from June 1 o July 31. The 61 day ban period has ended on Sunday and fishing resumed today. However even during the ban period, country boats with less than 10 HP outboard engines were allowed to go fishing.
