Bhasker Shetty case : Convict Rajeshwari Shetty lodged in Parappana Agrahara prison

Udupi, Jun 10, 2021: Rajeshwari Shetty who has been convicted in the case of murder of her businessman husband Bhasker Shetty and has been sentenced to life imprisonment, was taken to the Parappana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru amid tight protection.

The other two convicted in the case including her son Navaneeth Shetty and astrologer Niranjan Bhat are already lodged in the same prison.

As soon as the District Court in Udupi pronounced the verdict and sentenced all the three to life imprisonment, Rajeshwari Shetty was subject to Covid test at Udupi District Hospital. After the report came out negative she was taken to Bengaluru in an armed police vehicle. Police sources said as a matter of rule she would be placed in quarantine in a separate cell for 14 days before shifting her to a regular cell.
