BJP’s Yatra only a diversionary tactic from real issues, alleges Khader

Mangaluru, Nov 08, 2022: Close on the heels of the Chief Minister’s visit to Udupi to take part in Jana Sankalp  programme, Congress MLA U T Khader has lashed out at the ruling party and has dubbed its Jana Sankalpa Yatra as Jana Sankashta Yatra.

 

 

 

Speaking to media persons here on November 8, Tuesday, he said  the BJP had failed to fulfill its assurances given to the voters prior to the previous elections. It is now holding this yatra as a diversionary tactic from real issues like rampant corruption, he alleged.

The BJP rose to power through Operation Lotus and not due to the mandate of the people, he said. Khader further expressed his resentment by saying that the government has sanctioned only Rs 5 lakhs for repairing potholes in his constituency.

He listed out the various so called failures of  the government and said none of the programmes meant for the fishermen have been implemented while even Sagaramala scheme has not taken off.

On the row over permitting beef stalls at the new Central Market mainly due to opposition by the BJP legislator, Khader said the BJP has no concern for the people but is only interested in politics, He said the government has permitted 11 factories to export beef, why hasn’t it  revoked this permission, he questioned.
