BJP leader Yashpal Suvarna seeks CMC nod to install Savarkar Statue at Brahmagiri Circle

Udupi, Aug 18, 2022: BJP Minority Morcha ’s National Chief Secretary Yashpal Suvarna has sought permission from the Udupi CMC to install a statue of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar at Brahmagiri Circle. He has written a letter to the CMC in this regard.

The Savarkar  flex board at Brahmagiri Circle during Independence Day had become a bone of contention with both Congress and SDPI opposing it. However Yashpal Suvarna has said he would seek installation of a statue of Savarkar if the two parties oppose the flex banner.

In his letter to the CMC President, Suvarna has said that this year being the 75th anniversary of  India’s Independence it would be the right time to install a statue of Savarkar.
