BJP district committee recommends disciplinary action against Raghupathi Bhat

Udupi, May 23, 2024: Udupi District BJP President Kishore Kumar has said that the district committee has recommended  disciplinary action against former Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat who has revolted against the party and was contesting as a rebel candidate against the official BJP candidate of South West Graduates Constituency.

 

Speaking to reporters here, he said Raghupathi Bhat has enjoyed top positions in the party and was even given chance to contest elections. This time however when he was denied a chance in assembly election as well as MLC election, he has revolted and is projecting himself as a candidate of BJP workers, Kishore Kumar said contesting and added that contesting a rebel candidate was not a solution to his resentment. He said the district committee has recommended to the state committee  to initiate disciplinary action against him.
