New Delhi, Feb 18, 2026: Popular video-sharing platform YouTube faced technical glitches, triggering a global outage on Wednesday morning. Several users took to social media to report difficulties accessing the service.
According to media reports, thousands of users across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom complained that the platform was down, with the homepage displaying an error message.

In a statement, YouTube acknowledged the issue, saying, “If you’re having trouble accessing YouTube right now, you’re not alone — our teams are looking into this and will share updates here.”
The company explained that a problem with its recommendation system prevented videos from appearing across multiple services, including the homepage, the YouTube app, YouTube Music and YouTube Kids.
YouTube added that the homepage has since been restored, but work is still underway to fully resolve the issue, assuring users that further updates will be provided soon.
