Veteran actor Dwarakeesh chosen for Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Bangalore, March 27, 2013: Dwarakeesh, renowned veteran Kannada star, producer and director of ‘Prachanda Kulla fame,’ has been chosen for the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in recognition of his lifetime achievement.

The Award will be conferred on the veteran actor at a ceremony to be held at Mumbai on April 30. Expressing his pleasure over being selected for the prestigious Award, Dwarakeesh said  he would dedicate the award to his fans and admirers. The veteran actor  was in tears as he remembered his favourite actors late Dr Rajkumar and Dr Vishnuvardhan.  Dwarakeesh also paid his obeisance to  Raghavendra Swami of Mantralaya on the great occasion.
