Telangana Man Shot Dead During Pizza Delivery in US

New Delhi, June 7, 2026: A 28-year-old man from Telangana was shot dead in Philadelphia, United States, while working part-time as a pizza delivery executive, reportedly after being lured to a deserted location through a fake delivery order.

The victim, Anshul Kuncha, had been living in the US for nearly four years and was employed with a multinational company. He worked weekends as a pizza delivery executive to supplement his income.

According to reports, Anshul was sent to deliver a pizza on Saturday night to an isolated location, where an unidentified assailant allegedly shot him multiple times before fleeing. Family members said none of his belongings were stolen, raising questions about the motive behind the killing.

His sister, Tanvi, alleged that the delivery request was a trap designed to target him. The family has appealed to authorities to expedite the repatriation of his body to India and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

The Consulate General of India in New York expressed condolences and said it is in touch with local authorities and the bereaved family while extending all possible assistance.

Police are investigating the incident and have not yet announced any arrests.
