Public furious as officials dance to movie songs after flag-hoisting on Republic Day in Karnataka

Bhadravathi, Jan 27, 2023: A video of a Karnataka MLA and a tehsildar dancing to movie songs after hoisting the national flag on Republic Day has gone viral on social media. The incident invoked the fury of the public who were upset with the officials’ behaviour.

 

On the occasion of Republic day, patriotic songs, songs of people who had sacrificed their lives for the country and the National Anthem were expected to be played during the flag-hoisting ceremony in Karnataka’s Bhadravathi.

However, instead of playing patriotic songs, government officials were seen dancing to movie songs. Bhadravathi MLA BK Sangameshwar was dancing while tehsildar Pradeep was singing the song. Even government officials were seen dancing to the song.

The public was furious with the behaviour of MLA and government officials.
