Lokayukta raids four govt officials in disproportionate assets cases in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Feb 12, 2026: In a major crackdown on alleged corruption, Lokayukta officials conducted simultaneous raids across several districts in Karnataka on Thursday, targeting government officials suspected of possessing disproportionate assets. The coordinated operations were carried out early in the morning in Shivamogga, Dharwad and Davanagere under the supervision of senior Lokayukta officers.

Raids in Shivamogga

In Shivamogga, Lokayukta teams searched properties linked to Arjun R.H., Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) in the BESCOM Civil Division. Searches were conducted at his residences in Vijayanagar and Gopalagowda Layout.

Officials also inspected two farmhouses owned by him in Talale village near Anandapura in Sagara taluk, measuring 2.5 acres and 4.5 acres. The raids were led by DySP Chandrashekhar, along with Inspectors Prabhu Soren and Gururaj Mailari. Documents and financial records are being examined as part of the investigation.

In Dharwad, Lokayukta officials raided premises linked to Surveyor Somalingappa Siddanagowdar. Searches were conducted at his houses in Murugod and Bharati Nagar, besides the office of the Assistant Director of Land Records (ADLR). The operation was led by Lokayukta SP Siddalingappa and focused on verifying details of the officer’s assets and financial transactions.

Raids in Davanagere

In Davanagere, under the supervision of Lokayukta SP M.S. Kaulapure, officials searched the BESCOM AEE’s office and residence. A rented accommodation previously occupied by Arjun R.H. in Nittuvalli was also inspected.

The simultaneous raids across districts are part of an ongoing probe into alleged disproportionate assets and have drawn attention within official circles.
