New Delhi, Feb 12, 2015: Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi Party decimated the rivals in the Delhi Assembly Election, will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and invite him for the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on February 14.

Kejriwal is expected to meet Modi at 10:30 am.

After AAP swept the Delhi polls on Tuesday in a landslide victory grabbing 67 seats in the 70-member Assembly, the Prime Minister had congratulated Kejriwal on his thumping victory and assured him of all support from the Centre for development of the national capital.

Kejriwal, while thanking Modi for the greetings, had said he would like to meet him soon to discuss issues related to Delhi.

Yesterday, Kejriwal met President Pranab Mukherjee and thanked him for his "blessings and guidance".

The President, in turn, gifted Kejriwal two books - ’Constitution of India’ and ’Thoughts and Reflections’, authored by him.

Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia termed it as a "courtesy visit" and said there was no "special agenda".

"We met the President this time. We thanked him for his guidance and blessings. When we had been demanding dissolution of the Delhi legislative assembly, there was a lot of cooperation from him... He expressed happiness and gifted Arvindji two books," Sisodia said.
