IndiGo Delhi-bound Dreamliner returns to London Heathrow after technical issue

New Delhi, Sep 23, 2026: A Delhi-bound IndiGo Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner returned to London Heathrow early Wednesday after developing a technical issue, according to a source.

The aircraft, operating IndiGo flight 6E4 from London Heathrow to Delhi, was in the air for about an hour before turning back, according to flight-tracking website Flightradar24.

The source said the aircraft landed safely back at London Heathrow after the technical issue was detected.

The aircraft took off at around 12.40 am IST and returned to Heathrow at approximately 2 am, according to flight-tracking data.

IndiGo has not issued any statement on the incident so far. Details about the nature of the technical issue and the number of passengers onboard were not immediately available.
