IAF C-17 Globemaster rescues 58 pilgrims from Iran; 47 COVID-19 cases in India

New Delhi, Mar 10, 2020: Coronavirus in India Live Updates: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has brought back 58 Indians from coronavirus-hit Iran today. The aircraft, a C-17 Globemaster, was sent to Tehran on Monday evening. About 2,000 Indians are living in Iran, a country that has witnessed increasing numbers of coronavirus cases in the last few days. "The IAF aircraft has landed, Yahoo reported.

Meanwhile, Italy has put the entire country on lockdown to combat the coronavirus. The country’s prime minister Giuseppe Conte has banned travel and social gatherings. Meanwhile in India, the Manipur government has closed the international border with Myanmar in view of the possible threat of transmission of COVID-19.
