
Hyderabad,  May 5, 2015: An engineering student from Hyderabad, who had joined the  Islamic State, has died while fighting in Syria, reports said.

Haneef Waseem had gone to London in November 2014 for higher studies, but, had soon fled the country to join the IS in Syria.
25-year-old Waseem was studying for a master’s degree in engineering in London. He died on March 15, sources said.
Waseem belonged to Mancherial in Adilabad district and had got his degree from Shadan College of Engineering.
Ever since the IS was founded, several Indians had left for Syria to join the jehad in Iraq and Syria.
A  Mumbai-based software engineer, Anees Ansari, was arrested in October  last year for allegedly conspiring to blow up American establishments in  the city, including a school in posh Bandra.
The IS ideology had  also influenced a young electrical engineer from Kolkata, Mehdi Masroor  Biswas, who was arrested for allegedly operating a popular Twitter  handle for the terrorist outfit - @shamiwitness.
