Bengaluru, Jul 10, 2026: Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy has denied reports about his immediate return to state politics.
Addressing a news conference on Thursday he said, “Coming to state does not mean that I am coming back tomorrow itself. I am working both in the state and at the Centre.”
He said, “I am currently a central minister and there’s three more years to my tenure as Lok Sabha member. I have been given some responsibilities at the Centre and I am managing them. Along with that , I will work actively to strengthen the party in the state”. Kumaraswamy said there was pressure from party workers to field a JD(S) candidate from Hiriyur constituency for bypolls. “I have discussed it with the BJP high command and leaders from Hiriyur constituency. We still have time, let us see,” he said.
