Family of five from Bengaluru killed in road accident in Andhra

Andhra Pradesh, Mar 4, 2026: Five members of a Bengaluru family were killed on the spot after their car crashed into a stationary truck in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district on Wednesday, police said.

The victims, including three women, were travelling to Tirupati when the accident occurred around 8.45 am on the four-lane highway near Palamaneru.

“Five members of a family travelling from Bengaluru to Tirupati were killed on the spot when their car rammed into a stationary truck near Palamaneru,” a police official said.

Preliminary investigations suggest that overspeeding and possible driver fatigue may have led to the mishap, police added.

Relatives of the deceased have been informed and are on their way to the accident site.
