New Delhi, Oct 17, 2026: A Delhi court on Saturday issued a bailable warrant against YouTuber Dhruv Rathee in a defamation case dating back to 2018.
The development comes after the court issued fresh summons to Rathee, noting that he had been living abroad for the past seven years and had returned to India amid the protests underway in the national capital.
Judicial Magistrate Rahul Jain issued the warrant in connection with a complaint filed by Vikas Pandey, who accused Rathee of defamation over a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.
The court noted that Rathee had initially been summoned in July 2019.
The case stems from a defamation complaint filed by Pandey, a member of the BJP’s IT cell, in 2018, following the publication of a video by Rathee that allegedly defamed him.
