Cockroaches won, democracy won: CJP’s first reaction on Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation

New Delhi, Jul 25, 2026: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) issued its first reaction to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, calling it a proof that if you don’t bow down in front of anyone, you can get anybody’s resignation.

Pradhan’s resignation was the main demand of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and capped widespread protests across the nation over the last month amid mounting frustration surrounding the NEET paper leak and irregularities in the education system.

The official X account of CJP posted, “Cockroaches won… Democracy won! Jai Hind!"

The satirical outfit also shared a video showing celebrations at Jantar Mantar after Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, marking a major victory for the movement.

‘Don’t Be Scared In Democracy’

In his first reaction to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke told reporters, “Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. This is the proof that if you don’t get scared, if you don’t bow down in front of this government, you can take anyone’s resignation. Don’t be scared in democracy."

However, the CJP founder raised two more demands. “We won’t go like this. Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. But the families of the children who committed suicide should receive compensation of one crore rupees. They should get it. Rs 1 crore compensation to all those families. And second, these police goons who acted on the 20th. Action must be taken against the police officers for that," he said.

The protests were triggered by the cancellation of the NEET-UG paper on May 3, 2026, over a paper leak, triggering widespread uproar and outrage among students. The backlash escalated after several aspirants died by suicide. A re-test was held on June 21, and the results were announced on July 19.
