New Delhi, November 7, 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2027. The examinations for both classes will commence on February 16, 2027, with papers scheduled to begin at 10.30 am.
According to the timetable, the Class 10 examinations will conclude on March 9, while the Class 12 examinations will continue until April 9. Class 10 students will appear for examinations in 83 subjects, while Class 12 students will take examinations in 121 subjects.
The Board said the timetable had been prepared after considering more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that students do not face clashes between examinations in their chosen subjects.
Earlier, CBSE had announced the schedule for practical examinations and internal assessments for the 2026-27 academic session.
For schools across India and abroad, practical examinations and internal assessments for Classes 10 and 12 will be conducted from January 1 to February 13, 2027. However, practical examinations in winter-bound schools will be held earlier, from November 9 to December 19, 2026.
More than 26.5 lakh students are expected to appear for the Class 10 board examinations, while over 19.8 lakh students are likely to take the Class 12 examinations.
Notably, CBSE has released the date sheet 101 days ahead of the commencement of the examinations. Students can access the detailed timetable on the Board’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
