Bomb threat: Jet Airways flight makes emergency landing in Muscat

Muscat, July 09: A Jet Airways flight (9W-536) made an emergency landing at Muscat International Airport on Thursday afternoon after a ‘bomb threat’. According to Times of Oman, the plane, which was flying from Mumbai to Dubai, was diverted to Muscat International Airport after the pilot reportedly told the Air Traffic Controllers about the bomb threat.

 

The plane was then guided to the Muscat international airport and it landed safely at round 1.08 pm.

“It was taken to an isolated bay and all the passengers were evacuated. The flight is right now grounded at Muscat International Airport and we are waiting for clearances from the concerned authorities to fly again,” Riyaz Kuttery, General Manager, Jet Airways, Oman, said.
