Bengaluru: Man arrested for stealing women’s innerwear, filming selfies in them

Bengaluru, January 21, 2026: Hebbagodi police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly stealing women’s innerwear and recording videos of himself wearing them. The accused, identified as Amul NG, is said to have taken women’s inner garments that were left to dry on the terrace of a residential building.

According to police, he filmed himself wearing the stolen innerwear and shared the videos online. After the video surfaced, Hebbagodi police registered a suo motu case on Monday and detained him for questioning.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to stealing women’s innerwear, wearing them, and recording videos. A search of his residence led to the recovery of several women’s inner garments, which were seized by the police.

Further investigation is under way. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
