Bengaluru, August 27, 2026: An 18-storey residential tower at SNN Raj Etternia near Kudlu Gate in South Bengaluru, which developed a structural tilt, will be dismantled in a planned operation from Thursday.

The affected Block E-3 comprises 49 flats, with individual apartments priced between ₹1 crore and ₹5 crore. The structural issue emerged just months after the civic authorities issued an occupancy certificate (OC) for the tower.

In a statement, SNN Raj Corp said the dismantling work would begin at 11 am on Thursday.

According to the developer, internal quality inspections detected structural deficiencies in the tower. Although some consultants recommended repairs and rectification, the company decided that dismantling the structure was the safer option rather than taking risks with corrective work.

Erroneous Soil Test Report

An internal investigation by the company reportedly found that the soil-testing report prepared by an external geotechnical agency contained errors.

SNN Raj Etternia has 15 towers comprising nearly 970 apartments. The developer said the structural issue was limited to Block E-3.

The problem came to light when buyers were preparing to move into their newly purchased apartments.
