Manchester, Aug 4, 2025: India won the fifth and final Test at The Oval by six runs as they drew level the five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2
Resuming at the overnight score of 339 for six, the hosts agonisingly fell short of the victory target of 374 by six runs with Mohammed Siraj taking five wickets.
England won the opening Test at Leeds by five wickets before the visitors restored parity with a 336-run win the second match at Birmingham.
The hosts regained the lead with a 22-run victory in the third Test at Lord’s while the fourth match at Manchester ended in a thrilling draw.
"I was heartbroken after dropping the catch of Harry Brooks yesterday and especially with kind of innings he played after that," said Siraj after his match-winning 5-wicket performance.

"Shubhman has been tactically very good, he will grow as a captain. It was phenomenal to watch him bat. He is here to stay for long as the captain," said KL Rahul.
"No longer Siraj will be the Deputy Superintendent of Police. He will get a big promotion when he goes back to Hyderabad," said an excited Ravi Shastri while commentating for the official broadcaster.
