
New Delhi, Jun 3, 2026: At least 18 people were killed and several others injured after a fire broke out at a restaurant in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar on Wednesday morning. Officials said a number of the victims were foreign nationals.
According to the Delhi Fire Service, three people were rescued from the basement of the Lemon Green Restaurant during the operation.
The fire was reported around 8.50 am, following which multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot to bring the blaze under control.
The rescued persons were shifted to a nearby hospital in CATS ambulances for treatment. Their condition was not immediately known.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and further details are awaited.
