New Delhi, Aug 20, 2026: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has hit back at yoga guru Baba Ramdev after he criticised her “Generation Gutter” remark, telling him not to “daydream” about her youth or bedroom.
Ranaut took to Instagram Stories to respond to Ramdev’s comments, in which he questioned her remarks about India’s youth and accused her of “losing her mental balance”.
“Baba ji don’t daydream about my jawani or bedroom,” Ranaut wrote, adding that Ramdev’s comments about her character were inappropriate. She also referred to past controversies involving his brand Patanjali and alleged that he had faced Supreme Court criticism over claims related to the efficacy of its products.
“Don’t give me character lessons,” Ranaut said, claiming that her character was better than his and adding, “no fraud detected here.”
Earlier, Ramdev had criticised Ranaut’s “Generation Gutter” remark targeting Gen Z during an interview. Questioning her qualifications and upbringing, he said that speaking about India’s youth in such a manner was a sign of “losing mental balance” and urged her party to take note of her comments.
The exchange comes amid a controversy over Ranaut’s recent remarks following the Bengaluru murder case in which a woman and her alleged lover were accused of killing her husband and four-year-old son.
Ranaut had criticised what she described as the influence of Western culture on relationships and made controversial comments about “body counts”, “ghosting” and “benching”.
Referring to the blue drum murder case, she had warned against normalising relationships being reduced to “body counts”, saying people should not become desensitised to such issues.
