Beary’s Welfare Forum holds iftar in UAE

UAE, August 9, 2012: The Beary’s Welfare Forum (BWF), a well-known social organization based in the UAE, organized an iftar at India Social and Cultural Centre on the evening of Aug 3, Friday in the presence of illustrious people such as Dr. B. R. Shetty.

Janab Abdul Hameed, president of ICC (Kannada unit), delivered a religious speech. After breaking the fast and saying evening prayers, a formal stage ceremony was held and BWF General Secretary Abdulla Madumoole invited all the dignitaries to the dais.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammed Ali Uchi listed out the charitable projects launched by the BWF in Mangalore, some of which were mass marriage ceremonies for poor girls. This year’s mass marriage ceremony will be held at Milagres Hall on Nov 4, 2012, he added.

Thanking all those who helped poor people with their generous donations, he said that BWF has distributed wheel chairs and constructed 50 toilets for the poor in the community with the help of these generous people.

chief guest of the event Padmashree Dr. B. R. Shetty, MD & CEO, NMC Group of Companies and Mr. Y. Sudhir Kumar Shetty, COO – Global Operations, UAE Exchange for their help.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B. R. Shetty extended his Ramdan greetings and said that he has always been closely associated with the BWF. Sudhir Kumar Shetty said that he will definitely visit this year’s mass marriage ceremony.

Ahmed Wahabe, manager of New Muslim Centre; Sarvottam Shetty; Shekar Shetty of Arab Udupi Hotels Group; Dr. Viqar Azim; and Thomas Sequeira were also present.

A number of members and office bears of BWF and their well wishers were present for the iftar.
