
Mangaluru, November 4, 2025: Nitte (Deemed to be University) will host its Fifteenth Annual Convocation in two separate ceremonies at its campuses in Mangaluru and Nitte, where a total of 1,999 graduates from various disciplines will receive their degrees.
The first ceremony will be held on Friday, November 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nitte Grounds, KSHEMA Campus, Deralakatte, Mangaluru. The event will be presided over by Chancellor Sri N. Vinaya Hegde, while Prof. Dr. Srinath Reddy K., Honorary Distinguished Professor and Goodwill Ambassador of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and former Head of Cardiology at AIIMS, New Delhi, will deliver the Convocation Address.

During this ceremony, the University will confer the Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) Honoris Causa posthumously on Late Dr. Madhukar Shantharam Kekre in recognition of his outstanding contributions to medical education, research, and institutional development.
The second convocation will take place on Saturday, November 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nitte Off-Campus Centre. Chancellor Sri N. Vinaya Hegde will preside, with Prof. Dr. Siddu P. Algur, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Kerala, serving as the Chief Guest. Dr. Algur is a noted academic leader and engineer recognized for his work in Web Mining, Knowledge Discovery, and Big Data Analytics.
Both events will be attended by Pro-Chancellor (Hospital Management) Prof. Dr. M. Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor (Administration) Sri Vishal Hegde, and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. S. Moodithaya, who will deliver the welcome address. Senior officials including Registrar Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Controllers of Examinations Prof. Dr. Prasad B. Shetty and Dr. Subramanya Bhat, as well as Heads of Constituent Colleges and members of the Executive and Academic Councils, will also be present.
Degrees will be awarded across a wide range of faculties. The Mangaluru Campus ceremony will cover Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, Humanities, Biological Sciences, Architecture, Speech and Hearing, and Hospitality Management. The Nitte Campus will confer degrees in Computer Applications, Engineering & Technology, Business Administration, and Commerce and Management.
In total, the University will award 28 Doctoral degrees, 959 Postgraduate degrees, 1,054 Undergraduate degrees, five Fellowships, and two Postgraduate Diplomas.
The convocation marks a key milestone for Nitte University, celebrating the achievements of its students while reaffirming its dedication to academic excellence, research, and professional development.
