Oct 07, 2015:  Baby Jaxon Buell was born with severe disabilities – a large part of his skull and brain were missing. But, the resilient little man has defied all odds and survived to celebrate his first birthday in August.

 

Jaxon, now 13 months old, was recently diagnosed with microhydranencephaly, a severe brain malformation for which there is no known cure after months of tests and misdiagnoses.

His parents Brandon and Brittany Buell were told by doctors that their son wouldn’t live past a few weeks. But, the boy is now miraculously teething and is saying hello to them.

 

“Jaxon has already shown how strong, smart, and special he is, accomplishing feats that doctors doubted he’d ever be able to do, shows improvements each and every day, and just reached a miraculous milestone in celebrating his 1st birthday. His perseverance and strength already shown is why we are calling his inspirational story, “Jaxon Strong.” Ultimately, Jaxon will need a miracle long-term. We continue to ask for support and prayers, as it is a blessing that his Mom continues to stay home with him for constant care, nurturing and development,” wrote Jaxon’s parents on a Facebook page.

His Facebook page ’Jaxon Strong’ has over 200,000 “likes’ and the family has also received nearly $100,000 in donations through GoFundMe page.

His parents posted a ’thank you’ message on ’GoFundMe’ page for all the gifts, donations, support and love given to Jaxon and the family.

They further added the these funds help pay for their regular monthly expenses, inluding Jaxon’s continuous medical care.
