Mar 22, 2018: Everyone knew someone who had a fake ID during their misspent and foolish youth.

Maybe that person was you. Whatever, we’re not here to judge.

Illegal and dodgy as going down this route is, we all knew someone who benefited in the fun stakes by using one.

But fake IDs only really work if they look realisitc.

An anonymous man baffled Thames Valley Police after being pulled over by an officer, and presenting her with his licence.

Thames Valley Police shared the bizarre exchange on Twitter, writing: "Earlier this week, PC Phillips stopped a car in Milton Keynes.

"When she tried to identify the driver’s ID, she found the below..."

"The driver’s car was seized and he was reported for driving with no insurance and driving without a proper licence.

"D’oh!"

Clearly a stickler for detail, the unnamed motorist had even ensured the licence included a Springfield address and Homer’s date of birth.

Sadly for him, he got these wrong.

Yes, as if the Homer Simpson photo wasn’t enough to arouse suspicions, they’d put the date of birth as being August 4, 1963.

Homer’s actual birthday is May 12, 1956.

The Simpson patriarch’ s address ISN’T 28 Springfield Way, USA. It’s 742 Evergreen Terrace.

So there you go, even if the driver did bear an uncanny resemblance to Homer, their ID was deeply flawed...
