Dec 22, 2014: In a frankly idiotic move, someone places a fully functioning iPhone 6 in a pan of foaming, boiling Coke, with stomach churning results

To date, the iPhone 6 has been shot with a pistol, frozen in liquid nitrogen, microwaved and cooked within a turkey.

 

And now some person with more money than sense has ’cooked’ the sought after device, launched back in September, in a pan of boiling Coca Cola.

Unsurprisingly, the phone didn’t fare well, the boiling gloop of sugar-infused liquid melting the exterior and causing it to explode after few minutes, causing a mass of brown and green smoke to envelop the kitchen.

After what we expect was a few ours of cooling, the ’cook’ examines the stripped down remains of the device, the casing remarkably intact, but not seemingly capable of much in the way of 21st century, cutting edge communication.

The YouTube clip, thought to have been filmed in America, has proved popular but we certainly wouldn’t recommend this particular Apple-based recipe.

Maybe using the phone for let’s say, making calls and sending texts would be a less wasteful way to spend and afternoon.
