Jazz, the baby giraffe, was found in a very dehydrated and weak state by The Rhino Orphanage. It is an animal shelter for rhinos and other animals based in Limpopo, South Africa.

After Jazz arrived at the shelter, the orphanage’s security dog, Hunter, fell "head over heels" in love with him. The adorable animals developed such a strong bond that Hunter, the dog, refused to eat when Jazz was in coma.

The Rhino Orphange took to Facebook to share heart-warming pictures and videos of their friendship on social media.

"Our anti-poaching and security dog, Hunter has fallen head over heels for the little giraffe and has claimed ownership since Jazz’s arrival. He stays in the room all day with Jazz and the carers and doesn’t allow his brother Duke close. So concerned was Hunter about Jazz when he was in a coma that he did not want to eat. No that baby is doing better Hunter has his appetite back too. What a special animal he is and so proud to have him on our Team," wrote The Rhino Orphanage in the post.

The orphanage even revealed on their social media how they found Jazz, "We were contacted two days ago by a landowner in our area to assist with a giraffe calf that was left abandoned by its mother."

They further said, "Very dehydrated and weak it was evident that the little one was only about 2 - 3 days old. The owner has no idea why mom left him behind and we are hoping that there is nothing internally wrong with the little one."

Here is an endearing video of the baby giraffe and the security dog that will drive away all your Monday blues.

The netizens are in awe of their friendship and dropped heart-warming comments on the video.

We can all learn a thing or two about selfless love from these adorable animals.
