Shah Rukh Khan Won’t Take Up Direction Anytime Soon and the Reason is AbRam

Jan 22, 2019 - Shah Rukh Khan is an actor, entrepreneur and a producer by profession but direction won’t come in the list anytime soon. He’s content with the different roles he plays in real and reel life and direction may have to wait for some time. Is he interested to pursue it somewhere in future? Hell yes but currently he wants to focus on the usual things and unusual ones may take time. He also feels direction is a lonely job. "It’s not important to act well for them as much as it is to let them know that in the final stretch of the film’s release, the last man standing with him or her, will be me," he said while revealing why he loves his directors so much.

In his conversation with DNA, when the star was asked about his future plans and if it includes direction, he simply said, "Not yet yaar. It’s difficult for me to get into direction. I can imagine what the story is going to be like. However, I don’t ‘really know’ it. I believe that if you are going to helm a film then you should be aware of the plot. You’ve to be able to say confidently ‘this is what my story is’. My thing is I’m assuming the possibilities. But sometimes, I haven’t tied up all the loose ends.”

Going ahead he elaborated on how AbRam is a major reason why he can’t take up direction as of now. “I’ve a little one right now. So, if I became a director, I would be locked in a room for two years, which is not a good thing to do at present. Sitting with AbRam and trying to write a story will be impossible. I don’t want to miss out on his growing up years.” Guess, direction will have to wait," he said and knowing what a hands-on father he is, nothing will matter more to him than his kids.
