This week was all about Malayalam debutant, now Internet sensation – Priya Prakash Varrier. One wink and the world couldn’t stop talking about her. She has been called the ‘nation’s crush’ and it’s no exaggeration considering the buzz around her. The 18 year old upcoming actress witnessed a phenomenal growth on Insta, she now has 3M followers. Amidst the frenzy aorund Priya Prakash, we managed to catch the Oru Adaar teaser, Dulquer’s first poster of his next Tamil film, the first single from Rangasthalam and Mohanlal’s first look from Kayakulam Kochunni.

Priya Prakash Varrier’s wink: On 9th February, a Malayalam song – Manikya Malaraya Poovi from an upcoming film, Oru Adaar Love was launched online. Two days later, a clip from the song went viral on social media, The clip featured two debutantes – Priya Prakash and Roshan Abdul. The two were seen exchanging an unspoken conversation – in 28 seconds, she arched her eyebrows, winked and played coy and the world was hers! Social media was flooded with posts gushing about her, memes were also created around the moment. She went on to become a viral sensation. In one night, she saw phenomenal growth on social media and ended up with 1.7 million followers! Priya Prakash Varrier went on to become the most searched personality on Google, beating even Sunny Leone.

Oru Adaar Love teaser: The teaser of the upcoming Malayalam movie Oru Adaar Love was seen in new light, thanks to winking sensation Priya Prakash Varrier. After the furore she created online, owing to her cute yet flirty antics, the teaser was hugely awaited by fans. Suddenly everyone wanted to know what Oru Adaar Love was all about. The teaser featured the same couple, and this time she expressed her love in other ways that had fans swooning yet again.

Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal: On Valentine’s Day, Dulquer Salmaan surprised us with the first look poster of his next Tamil film – Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. The film will have Dulquer team up with Ritu Varma for the first time. The movie is reportedly about a road trip. The poster was a collage of their goofy moments together and it was adored by fans.

Rangasthalam first single Yentha Sakkagunnaave:  The first song from Rangasthalam was released on the eve of Valentine’s day. The song’s earthy tones perfectly complemented the theme of the movie. The song became a big hit on social media. The upcoming Sukumar film stars Ram Charan and Samantha ruth Prabhu. The period love story will release on March 30th.

Mohanlal’s first look as Ithikkara Pakki: Nivin Pauly is currently shooting for period drama Kayakulam Kochunni, a film based on the famed highwayman. The film will be set in the 19th century. The movie will focus on Kochunni’s important relationships and his fight against the case system. Mohanlal plays Ithikkara Pakki, who happens to be  Kochunni’s close friend.  His first look was revealed today. Mohanlal’s rugged look for this avatar has been raved about on social media.
