May 15, 2019: To fall in love is a blessing, but nothing hurts more than being disappointed by the one person, who you thought would never hurt you. Your world crumbles and life becomes meaningless, but as they say, ’After the storm comes the brightest sun’. And that’s exactly what happened in the life of our Bollywood diva, Katrina Kaif.

Katrina won millions of hearts with her glorious filmy career. She not only shut the trollers questioning her strong British accent but also became the heroine of every hit movie. And while she was basking in the glory of her amazing career, her personal life saw some major bumps. Her much-hyped relationship with Ranbir Kapoor ended abruptly which left a huge scar on her heart.

However, after three years of her breakup, the pain can still be visible on Katrina’s face. Recently, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Katrina talked about her struggling phase, and said, “Right now I’d say my life is 80% work and 20% personal. But it’s not in our control. Right now, there’s a lot of work happening. I take it as a good thing. It wasn’t in my control when my personal life…got over.”

In the same interview, she accepted her struggling time during the breakup, “It’s hard to know exactly why things happened. But I have a different take on it. “Ok fine—it [the break-up] sucks, it’s terrible, this is the worst thing in the world, my life is over. Let’s sit here and believe this, even for just two minutes. Do we feel good about things? No.” But if you really believe in your god, your universe, you’ll feel much better. The reason I feel that I should say this is because there are young girls who might be listening to me. They might find something that helps them. I may see a person and think, “Oh, she’s got everything”, or “Oh, she doesn’t struggle like I do”.”

She further added, “But you know what? You don’t know that. Everyone struggles. The most important thing is to learn. We are all trying to work and achieve, in spite of our fears and insecurities. You don’t wake up one day and discover that it’s all gone. You have to push through it.”

Recently, when Katrina had made an appearance on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show, Pinch by Arbaaz Khan, she had talked about her marriage plans. She had stated, “No clue. I am taking one day at a time. Life is unpredictable. We don’t know what happens. When it happens, it happens. As a person, I do believe in the institution of marriage and having kids. That I do.”

In an earlier interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Katrina had revealed how she managed to pull back when her heart was broken. She had shared, “I had to break before I could proceed to rebuild myself. I had to unravel and feel everything that had happened I had to take full responsibility for my part in the equation, what I could and should have done better. And accept that the parts that I was not responsible for were not my problem.”

She had also shared that she doesn’t hold any grudge for anyone, “Whoever it is (no names taken), I don’t see the point of holding on to anything unpleasant from the past. I would rather let bygones be bygones. I don’t think anyone is out there to hurt me. People are trying to do the best for you. But, sometimes, in trying to do the best for you, you get hurt. Too bad. However, I would rather have a friend than an enemy.”
