Preparations are in full swing for the Mahamastakabhisheka of the monolithic statue of Bhagavan Bahubali at Karkala  to be held  from January 21 to 31.  The construction works of the Attalige (step ladder) on three sides of the statue  were complete on December 21, Sunday.
