New Delhi, May 05, 2014: Lyricist- screenwriter Gulzar was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contributions to the growth of Indian Cinema at the 61st National Awards ceremony in New Delhi today.





Actor Rajkummar Rao collected his Best Actor National Film Award for his performance in the Hindi film, Shahid at the ceremony.

Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu collected his Best Actor National Film Award for his performance in the Malayalam film, Perariyathavar at the ceremony.

Actress Geetanjali Thapa collected her Best Actress National Film Award for her performance in the Hindi film, Liar’s Dice at the ceremony.

Hansal Mehta collected his Best Director National Film Award for directing the Hindi film, Shahid at the ceremony.

Actor Saurabh Shukla collected his Best Supporting Actor National Film Award for his performance in the Hindi film, Jolly LLB at the ceremony.

 

Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra collected the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment for his film Bhag Milkha Bhag at the ceremony.

 

Ganesh Acharya collected his Best Choreographer National Film Award for the Song Maston Ka Jhund from the film Bhag Milkha Bhag at the ceremony.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh collected the National Award for his Marathi production, Yellow which won a special mention at the National Awards ceremony.

 

 

Young Actress Gauri Gadgil collected her National Award for her performance in Marathi film,

M Sasikumar collected her the National Film Award for Best Film on National Integration for his Tamil production, Thalaimuragal, which was also veteran director Balu Mahendra’s last film.
