Jan 30, 2019 - A bevy of celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Urmila Matondkar and Janhvi Kapoor among others attended Umang 2019 last night. The event, which is held to honour the police forces, turned out to be a night to remember with celeb performances and their antics on-stage.

However, Ranveer found himself at the receiving end for one of the pictures doing the rounds of social media. The photograph in question (shown below) sees the actor being lifted by the men in uniform. This certainly did not go well with the netizens, and, within no time the actor got slammed for his behaviour.

 

 

 

 

A user wrote, “Shame... Police in uniform lifting a nonsense guy.” Another said, “This respect he is showing towards mumbai police idiot have some shame they are the real hero n u a reel one . Disappointed with this.” A certain netizen was shocked to see the policemen lift the star, while having caps on. He wrote, “How can these people lift him when they are in uniform and have their caps on.”

Some even made fun of his dressing. A user wrote, “Ranveer arrested for bad dressing sense. I love this guy.” The series of trolls didn’t end here. An Instagram user opined, “What an idiot expects the Police force to pick him up. Very annoying off screen, this guy.” Another said, “If the pic is photoshoped then it might be acceptable but this kind of behaviour nd attitude with cops is not at all. I like Ranbir as a nice person but after watching this pic my thinking is changed even we shouldn’t judge a person.”
