Mangalore, May 1, 2015: Recently when media reported that an advocate from Puttur has been appointed the Additional Solicitor General of India (South Zone), the whole of Dakshina Kannada in general and Puttur in particular was elated.
KM Nataraj from Eshwaramangala in Puttur taluk is the advocate who has brought honour to his home district by getting appointed to the coveted post. An alumnus of Sri Vivekananda College, Puttur, leadership qualities were inherent in Nataraj right since his college days and he has also served as the President of the All College Students Union.
After his graduation, Nataraj moved to Mangaluru where he pursued law at SDM Law College and later began his career as advocate at JMF Court in the city.
Nataraj has served as legal advisor to the Bengaluru Development Authority and various other organisations. He has also felt honoured in working as advocate under eminent lawyer and former advocate general BV Acharya.
In 2009 he was appointed Additional Advocate General and became the youngest person in India to be appointed to the post.
