For P Ramdas, Managing Director of Ace  Manufacturing Systems Ltd  striving towards Excellence is a way of achieving success.

Hailing from Puttige in Moodbidri, he is an alumnus of the prestigious NITK-Suratkal where he did his graduation in Mechanical Engineering and  later pursued MTech in Machine Tools from IIT Madras.

He joined HMT as a Design Engineer and played a pivotal role in developing indigenously built NC and CNC lathes there. With a rich professional experience of 13 years at HMT and his short stint at MMC – Kolkata, he joined WIDIA (India) Ltd. (Kennametal) as a Project Manager to start the SPM division in 1984. During his tenure as Project Manager for 7 years with WIDIA, he developed several varieties of Machine Tools including Turning Centers, Machining Centers, Deep Hole Drilling Machines, Grinding Machines, and many  others. In 1991, he joined Mysore Kirloskar Ltd, Harihar, as the Vice President - Engineering. In 1994, he along with the other promoters founded Ace Manufacturing Systems Ltd., and has since been its Managing Director.

Ramdas is the recipient of the KASSIA  “Kaigarika Ratna” award in 2015-16, MTMA-Premier Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in  2016 and“Karnataka Rajyotsava Award” in 2018.
