Hrithik has even described the gorgeous Diva as a ’Very Special and Rare Talent who will go a long way."

That’s Karkala girl Pooja Hegde who is making waves ever since the release of Mohenjo Daro. Daughter of Manjunath and Latha Hegde couple, Pooja, a B.Com graduate from Bombay University,  is a  budding  model and actress  who has also been crowned as the second runner up in Miss Universe India-2010  and Miss India South Glamorous Hair-2010.  A well trained Bharata Natyam Dancer, Pooja says she never imagined that she will be working in a film made on Mohenjo Daro, a topic she found boring to study during her school days.

Pooja initially got a chance in Tamil movie Mugamoodi opposite Jiiva and later in Telugu films  Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda. It was the Hero Maestro ad featuring her and Ranbir Kapoor which caught the attention of director Ashutosh Gowariker’s wife Sunitha that eventually landed her in Mohenjo Daro. That was sheer luck for this talented girl who has still not forgotten her roots and speaks fluently in her mother tongue Tulu. Good luck to her.
