Mangaluru, Feb 22, 2020: Belthangady girl Moorje Sunitha Prabhu is an exceptionally talented girl who has made everyone proud with her achievements. A recipient of the prestigious  Pradhan Mantri Bal Puraskar, Sunitha is a girl with big dreams in her eyes.

Daughter of Belthangady based entrepreneur Vivekanand Prabhu and Shanthala Prabhu, she is an alumnus of Ujire SDM English Medium School (CBSE)  and is presently pursuing PUC at  CFAL in Mangaluru.

Sunitha won the Award for representing India in the 80th Science and Technology  Fest held at Phoenix in  the US last year. A  mosquito repellent device  invented by her  was  developed at the  Pune IISER and NCL. She has also bagged the National Grand Award for her achievement.

A remote controlled rubber tapping machine is also the product of her research  which has won commendation.
