Excellent Banker - Raghavendra Bhat

Mangaluru, July 17, 2017: He has an outstanding track record as a banker and is known for his diligence and  in-depth knowledge in the field.  He is now the Chief General Manager of Karnataka Bank, one of the premier private sector bank, a post which was earlier held by Mahabaleshwara M S who has been elevated as  the MD and CEO of the Bank.

An alumni of Milagres College of Kallianpur in Udupi district, Raghavendra Bhat is a Commerce Graduate and a Certificate Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).  Bhat forayed into the banking arena in the year 1981 and has since then served the bank at various locations in different posts and is today armed with an experience spanning over three decades.

Bhat was promoted as Chief Manager in 2002  and was posted as   head of the Karnataka Bank’s New Delhi Overseas Branch. He became  Assistant General Manager in 2005 and served  the Credit Department, IT and MIS Department in the Bank’s Head Office.  In 2010 he was elevated as Deputy General Manager and subsequently  became the General Manager  in April 2014 heading various departments of the bank.

Now as the Chief General Manager and with still greater responsibilities on his shoulders, Bhat is optimistic of  giving his very best that will help the bank achieve further excellence.
