Mangaluru, Oct 17, 2015: Joy Jeevan Rai is a dedicated educationist and a passionate and caring teacher. As Principal of Canara High School-CBSE  she leads the school through her vision and dedication  and wants her students to give their best both in academics and co-curricular activities.

Joy Jeevan Rai is a B.A. and B.Ed degree holder from Mangalore University. She also has an MA in English Literature from KSOU and M.Phil in the same subject. Also a PG Diploma Holder in Human Resource Management  KSOU, she is a  Master Facilitator from CLHRD, Valencia (AIMS Insights).

In her educational career spanning over 25 years, Joy Jeevan Rai has worked as Centre Superintendent of AISSCE and Deputy Superintendent of AIEEE. She has been serving as Principal of Canara CBSE School since May 2012.  Prior to that, she served as Vice Principal of the institution since 2008. At Canara, she has worked  successfully in getting CBSE affiliation upto secondary level and has  even succeeded in implementing Bag less schooling from primary students.

Enhancing her experience in the educational field is her participation in several national and international conferences. She also received the Intl School Award 2015-18 for her school for Outstanding Development of International Dimension in School Curriculum.

Despite  great responsibilities on her shoulders as Principal of a reputed institution  she finds some time to nurture her hobbies like gardening,cooking and penning short poems.
